Base Salary
$89k - $145k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, implement, test, deploy, and support software for Caterpillar’s digital platforms and applications.
- Build and support AI-powered solutions for digital platforms, customer experiences, dealer ecosystems, and enterprise operations.
- Design and implement enterprise microservices, APIs, Microsoft Fabric patterns, and AI agents using .NET skills.
- Develop mobile and web applications and contribute to user interface and user experience design activities.
- Develop Python data pipelines and investigate and resolve software defects through code or data-modification scripts using SageMaker notebooks.
- Evaluate emerging technologies through proofs of technology and proofs of concept and document implementation patterns.
- Use generative AI tools to support software development, information gathering, defect triage, and development of additional generative AI tools.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, completed by the start date.
- 0–2 years of relevant experience; internships and academic projects are valued.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0 with no rounding.
- Experience through internships, personal projects, research, hackathons, student organizations, or coursework is highly valued.
- Knowledge of software development, software development life cycle practices, software integration, product design and architecture, product technical concepts, and software testing.
- Ability to analyze situations, make informed decisions, communicate effectively, and produce software aligned with product requirements.
