Responsibilities
- Design, develop, debug, and maintain software applications based on business and system requirements.
- Build and deploy React-based UI applications and Node.js backend applications across the stack.
- Design scalable, stable, and high-performing micro-frontend and/or microservices solutions.
- Review application designs and code, provide technical guidance, and mentor junior developers.
- Support testing and production support teams, investigate bug reports, and respond to application outages during the on-call rotation.
- Estimate development effort, manage delivery schedules, and own the quality of assigned work.
- Develop unit tests and use test-driven development, mocking frameworks, and UI testing tools.
- Collaborate with product owners, lead architects, software architects, and globally distributed engineering teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
- At least 5 years of frontend software development experience.
- Working experience writing and deploying UI applications with React.js and backend applications with Node.js.
- Experience designing and developing micro-frontend and/or microservices systems with Node.js and NPM.
- Knowledge of RESTful APIs and SQL/NoSQL databases.
- Experience supporting mission-critical production applications and participating in an on-call rotation.
- Proficiency writing unit tests and using mocking frameworks, source control, and collaborative development workflows.
- Experience supporting or implementing complex integration projects and resolving technical issues through research and investigation.
- Experience with AWS cloud technology stacks and UI testing using Cypress and TestCafe is preferred.
- Knowledge of software application security vulnerabilities and experience incorporating LLM usage into the software development lifecycle are preferred.
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities and deadlines, produce accurate estimates, and collaborate effectively with onshore and offshore teams.
