Base Salary
$144k - $216k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and develop services and applications on AWS for the product creation platform.
- Influence engineering standards and system design across application and service levels.
- Enhance AI-assisted development tooling, review standards, and quality gates.
- Own technical decisions, assess tradeoffs, align partners, and drive execution.
- Translate business challenges into scalable software solutions with product owners and cross-functional partners.
- Provide technical direction, pairing, code reviews, and career development support to teammates.
Requirements
- 8+ years of software engineering experience, including 2+ years in a lead, staff, or senior+ capacity.
- Proven experience building and operating production-grade enterprise software.
- Deep understanding of application architecture, distributed systems, and architecture patterns.
- Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development workflows and evaluating AI-generated code for production quality.
- Proficiency in C#/.NET, Java, Go, or comparable languages; AWS; Docker/ECS/EKS; CI/CD pipelines; REST APIs; event-driven systems; and relational database design.
- Experience influencing engineers through pairing, feedback, and technical excellence initiatives.
- Strong ownership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent professional experience.
- Preferred experience with React.js or other frontend frameworks, Kafka, AWS SNS/SQS, Kubernetes, Terraform, or infrastructure-as-code practices.
- Interest in or knowledge of Wizards of the Coast brands.
