Responsibilities
- Develop, execute, and maintain functional, integration, regression, and performance test plans.
- Translate business and technical requirements into manual and automated test cases.
- Define and evolve automation strategies aligned with enterprise standards and release cadence.
- Design, implement, maintain, and scale automated testing frameworks.
- Integrate automated tests into continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines.
- Collaborate with DevOps to optimize pipeline execution, test parallelization, and environment provisioning.
- Define quality KPIs such as defect leakage, test pass rate, and code coverage, and create dashboards for release decisions.
- Lead root-cause analysis for escaped defects and drive preventive actions.
- Maintain testing documentation for auditability and knowledge retention.
- Partner with developers to troubleshoot issues and document defects.
- Own and improve UI, API, and database automation frameworks.
- Contribute to project planning and feature estimation.
- Lead technical discussions, mentor junior engineers, and support knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- Six to nine years of experience in software quality engineering focused on automation for web and API-based applications.
- Deep knowledge of test automation patterns, frameworks, and performance engineering.
- Proficiency in C#/.NET Core, Selenium, Playwright, SpecFlow, Postman, and JMeter.
- Hands-on experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery and Azure or AWS cloud services.
- Strong SQL skills and experience validating data across relational and NoSQL stores.
- Experience designing, implementing, and scaling automation frameworks in a collaborative Agile environment.
- Ability to debug complex issues across application layers and take end-to-end ownership of test coverage, environment stability, and release certification.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to articulate quality risks and solutions.
- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and deliver reliable, maintainable test suites under tight timelines.
