
Software Engineer - Maritime

Responsibilities
- Develop and evolve software for autonomous maritime platforms, including autonomy, simulation, data processing, payload integration, and command-and-control systems.
- Own software-enabled solutions deployed to customers and optimize them for end-user value.
- Design and implement scalable, reusable software components across Anduril product lines.
- Develop software running on and off robotic platforms and iteratively enhance vehicle and mission software.
- Create software- and hardware-in-the-loop test and simulation fixtures and support full lifecycle testing, monitoring, and operation.
- Troubleshoot remotely deployed systems and support vehicle manufacturing and deployment.
- Collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary engineering team and travel up to 20% to work with end-users or other teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Engineering, a relevant field, or equivalent experience.
- Professional experience working as a Software Engineer in one or more relevant domains or technologies.
- Systems or application programming skills involving algorithms, data structures, concurrency, scaling, testing, and software design.
- Experience troubleshooting and analyzing remotely deployed software systems.
- Ability to work across the software stack and product lifecycle, from design and implementation through operation and sustainment.
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
- Preferred: experience delivering military mission systems, writing backend services or embedded software in C++, Rust, or Go, and building frontend applications with TypeScript and React.
- Preferred: experience with horizontally scaled cloud technologies, embedded robotics software, modeling and simulation, high-assurance safety-critical software, and product delivery through manufacturing, acceptance, deployment, and sustainment.
- Preferred: familiarity with Systems Engineering concepts.
