Responsibilities
- Design, develop, code, test, and debug embedded software in C and C++.
- Prototype product solutions from research through production.
- Develop, maintain, and improve open-source firmware and libraries with high-quality code and documentation.
- Collaborate with the hardware design team and review hardware designs and code.
- Promote Arduino at conferences and within the developer community.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field plus 2+ years of relevant experience; or a master's degree plus 1+ year; or a PhD in a related field.
- At least 2 years of academic or professional programming experience with languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
- At least 5 years of firmware and library development experience using C and C++.
- Experience with JTAG and debugging tools including gdb and Valgrind.
- Familiarity with Linux kernel or userspace programming and extensive hardware-debugging experience.
- Knowledge of MQTT, CoAP, HTTP, TCP, UDP, AMQP, GitHub, and Git flow.
- Fluent written and spoken English is mandatory.
- Knowledge of the Arduino ecosystem and experience with Golang or Python are preferred.
