Base Salary
$153k - $376k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build large-scale distributed data systems for analytics, AI/ML, and business intelligence.
- Develop reliable, efficient, and scalable batch and streaming data solutions.
- Manage and evolve Snowflake, the ML Datalake, orchestration infrastructure, and real-time ingestion systems.
- Improve data reliability, consistency, compliance, performance, and cost efficiency.
- Collaborate with AI researchers, data scientists, product engineers, and business stakeholders to develop scalable data solutions.
- Drive technical decisions and best practices for data ingestion, orchestration, processing, and storage.
- Mentor and support engineers and foster technical excellence.
Requirements
- 5+ years of backend or infrastructure engineering experience, including designing and building distributed data infrastructure at scale.
- Strong expertise in batch and streaming data processing technologies such as Spark, Flink, Kafka, Airflow, or Dagster.
- Demonstrated impact-driven problem-solving experience in fast-paced environments with a focus on reliable and performant systems.
- Strong technical communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Experience mentoring engineers.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with Golang, Python, SQL, dbt, Spark, Kafka, Snowflake, or Dagster.
- Preferred experience includes building AI/ML data infrastructure, model serving, feature stores, dataset compliance, reverse ETL, personalization platforms, real-time event ingestion, data governance, access control, or large-scale platform cost optimization.
