Responsibilities
- Write and maintain full-stack Java code within an Agile software delivery team.
- Design, document, and develop enterprise applications using modern software patterns and technologies.
- Decompose acceptance criteria, assess deliverable complexity and risk, and contribute to sprint goals.
- Contribute to software architecture, technical standards, team processes, and broader technical strategy.
- Collaborate continuously with stakeholders and participate throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams.
- Use cloud-native development, container orchestration, service-oriented architectures, REST and GraphQL implementations, and CI/CD pipelines.
Requirements
- 12+ years of experience as a Software Engineer.
- 5+ years of development experience using Java.
- Multiple years of experience with software engineering practices including unit testing, automation, design patterns, and peer review.
- Strong understanding of data structures and object-oriented principles using Java.
- Multiple years of experience with cloud-native development and container orchestration tools.
- Multiple years of experience with service-oriented and microservices architectures, including REST and GraphQL.
- Multiple years of experience with frameworks such as Spring Boot and exposure to CI/CD pipelines.
- BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience.
- Preferred experience with horizontally scalable, highly available, highly resilient, and low-latency applications.
- Preferred exposure to cloud infrastructure, event-driven architecture, API management, infrastructure as code, security, observability, monitoring, databases, and web technologies.
- Preferred experience mentoring and providing technical leadership for teams of five or more developers.
