Responsibilities
- Lead a portfolio of technology projects and a team of developers building distributed microservices and full-stack systems.
- Architect, implement, and harden high-concurrency APIs and serverless services for participant management and financial infrastructure.
- Collaborate with product managers, architects, infrastructure teams, and servicing partners to define service boundaries and integration patterns.
- Develop cloud-based solutions using Go, AWS, databases, containers, and related technologies.
- Provide technical leadership across Agile teams, including design and development standards, operational excellence, mentoring, and professional development.
- Identify improvement opportunities, perform targeted refactoring, reduce technical debt, and improve system performance.
- Influence long-term technology strategy through evaluation of tools, practices, and reusable frameworks.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field.
- At least 4 years of software engineering experience; internship experience does not apply.
- At least 2 years of experience with public cloud platforms, cloud-based productivity tools, or virtualization technologies.
- Preferred: master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Preferred: 7 or more years coding with more than two of Go, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Rust, C#, and Scala.
- Preferred: experience with databases, AWS/GCP/Azure, open source frameworks, front-end JavaScript or TypeScript frameworks, synchronous and asynchronous APIs, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, automated testing, and Git-based version control.
- Preferred: experience troubleshooting cloud environments, using AI coding tools and IDE copilots, mentoring engineers, applying observability to distributed systems, leading cross-functional initiatives, and enforcing coding standards and design patterns.
