Responsibilities
- Own the long-term technical health and strategic direction of the Middle Office business unit.
- Break down complex and ambiguous problems into actionable paths for the organization.
- Identify systemic failure patterns and drive architectural changes that improve scalability and reliability.
- Align multiple teams on major technical decisions across cross-functional domains.
- Define the context and technical rails for safe, effective use of AI tools across the engineering organization.
- Set the vision for operational excellence and mentor senior engineers.
Requirements
- Expertise building distributed systems.
- Experience with Python/Django, React, and Postgres, with the ability to guide technical direction across JVM languages, gRPC, and AWS cloud-native infrastructure.
- A track record of high-level technical leadership and influence without formal authority.
- Ability to anticipate future technical roadblocks and build systems that support long-term business growth.
- 10+ years of professional software engineering experience.
