Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize robotics software applications using ROS.
- Integrate deep learning, machine learning, imitation learning, and generative AI algorithms with robotics platforms.
- Collaborate with hardware and algorithm teams to deploy robust AI systems on real-world robots.
- Use the NVIDIA Isaac Robotics Ecosystem for simulation, perception, and deployment tasks.
- Develop and improve perception, planning, and control modules using AI techniques.
- Create and maintain reusable, well-documented codebases and participate in code reviews and design discussions.
- Stay current with robotics, deep learning, and generative AI research and trends.
- Provide technical leadership and work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Robotics or a related field such as Computer Science or Electrical Engineering with relevant robotics and AI coursework.
- 3–6 years of professional experience in robotics software development.
- Strong proficiency with Linux, Ubuntu, shell scripting, ROS, Python, and C++.
- Hands-on experience applying deep learning in robotics and designing, implementing, and deploying AI/ML algorithms on robotic systems.
- Experience with TensorFlow or PyTorch and solid machine learning fundamentals.
- Experience with object-oriented software engineering, SQL and NoSQL databases, REST APIs, FastAPI or Django, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and Git.
- Preferred experience with NVIDIA Isaac, imitation learning, reinforcement learning, LLM-based generative AI, embedded or real-time robotics software, multi-sensor fusion, SLAM, or advanced perception.
- Experience with robots such as those from Universal Robots or MIR and form factors including humanoids, quadrupeds, robotic arms, mobile manipulators, AMRs, or drones is preferred.
- Familiarity with Open-RMF fleet management systems and prior technical team leadership are advantageous.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, innovation, and self-motivation skills.
