Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end development from ideation and design through final deployment.
- Design and build scalable banking, payment-processing, and clearing platforms.
- Develop high-quality software using Java 21, Spring Boot, Spring Batch, and Spring ecosystem technologies.
- Define system enhancements, product customizations, and integration solutions to support new products and process improvements.
- Analyze incidents, identify root causes and business impact, and support development and production issue triage.
- Participate in technical design discussions and architecture reviews.
- Lead engineering teams and guide development practices across the organization.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- At least 10 years of relevant experience in an Engineering Lead role.
- Experience leading teams and building platforms with microservices.
- Strong knowledge of modern architectures including microservices, event streaming, and multi-region systems.
- Strong understanding of payment systems, payment processing, payment gateways, ISO 20022, digital payments, and SWIFT messaging standards.
- Experience with Java 21, Spring Boot, Spring Batch, Spring Data JPA, Spring Security, Spring Cloud, IBM MQ, Kafka, Redis, and MongoDB.
- Knowledge of SRE, DevOps, AIOps, architecture practices, design patterns, and guiding principles.
- Strong analytical, diagnostic, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, multitask, take ownership, and operate effectively in a matrix environment.
- Interest in learning new technologies and familiarity with design metrics, analytics tools, benchmarking, and related reporting.
