Responsibilities
- Design, build, and deploy backend software solutions using Kotlin, Java, and Spring Boot.
- Own the full software lifecycle, including production monitoring, incident resolution, bug fixing, and performance optimization.
- Contribute to technical documentation, RFCs, product discovery, backlog prioritization, and process improvements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define priorities and improve workflows.
- Onboard engineers, conduct code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and promote knowledge sharing.
- Deliver complex tasks independently while maintaining high standards for quality, security, and performance.
Requirements
- Proven backend engineering experience with deep proficiency in Java or Kotlin and modern microservice patterns.
- Strong understanding of relational and NoSQL databases, with Postgres preferred.
- Experience with cloud-native infrastructure, specifically AWS.
- Ability to manage deployment processes, bug fixing, and production monitoring.
- Ability to solve complex problems independently and take ownership of technical outcomes.
- Strong communication skills and experience participating in technical discussions, including RFCs, and mentoring team members.
- Commitment to clean, tested, well-documented code and security and performance best practices.
- Proactive approach to continuous learning, feedback, and team-wide process improvement.
