Responsibilities
- Create and implement a robust software integration strategy with developer, test, technical lead, and partner teams.
- Understand product requirements at the system level and resolve cross-dependencies among software modules.
- Create and maintain customized software builds for multiple platform variants and customers.
- Bring up software on different virtual and hardware platforms.
- Set up and maintain build systems and support continuous performance and quality improvements.
- Lead technical initiatives and feature teams across engineering domains.
- Collaborate with software leads, architects, and program and project management to deliver robust systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 12+ years of experience combining SoC firmware development and integration across the semiconductor development lifecycle.
- Excellent C and embedded programming skills, integration test specification development, CI/CD familiarity, Git, GitLab or GitHub, and Python.
- Working experience with trusted-firmware-a, trusted-firmware-m, bootloaders, Linux, hypervisors, device drivers, and other embedded software components.
- Expertise with the Yocto build system and repository management.
- Strong debugging skills and the ability to navigate complex software stacks.
- Experience bringing up integrated software stacks across hardware and software platforms.
- Understanding of architecture and microarchitecture concepts, memory maps, MMU, SMMUs, and interrupt controllers.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, documentation, influence, and consensus-building skills, along with excellent written and spoken English.
- Exposure to automotive software safety or security qualification is an advantage.
