Base Salary
$190k - $261k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own the technical vision and architecture for Databricks’ Support Automation and Tooling ecosystem.
- Lead hands-on development of automation that improves customer experience and Support scalability.
- Design agentic workflows that progress from human-in-the-loop processes to fully automated systems.
- Implement observability, transparency, and rollback mechanisms for AI-driven decisions.
- Coordinate technical roadmaps and dependencies across Support, Product, and Platform Engineering.
- Maintain high standards for software quality, reliability, and maintainability.
- Mentor engineers and subject matter experts across Software and Support Engineering.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field is required.
- Technical leadership experience on large projects involving automation tooling, distributed systems, and APIs is required.
- Extensive full-stack development experience is required.
- Proven success designing and deploying production-grade automation in complex technical environments is required.
- Hands-on experience with ML-assisted systems, decision support, or agentic automation is required.
- Deep familiarity with distributed data platforms, developer tooling, and large-scale infrastructure systems is required.
- Understanding of AWS, Azure, GCP, compliance, and security constraints is required.
