Mobile Developer

- Design, develop, and maintain cross-platform iOS and Android mobile applications using React Native and TypeScript.
- Build reusable, accessible, and maintainable mobile components and translate UX designs and business requirements into mobile experiences.
- Integrate REST and GraphQL APIs and implement secure authentication, authorization, token storage, session management, biometrics, and multi-factor authentication.
- Manage application state, navigation, caching, error handling, offline behavior, and native iOS and Android capabilities.
- Develop automated unit, component, integration, and end-to-end tests and participate in peer reviews and engineering standards.
- Diagnose defects, performance issues, and production incidents and support automated build, signing, deployment, and app-store release processes.
- Implement monitoring, analytics, crash reporting, accessibility, and secure-development practices for regulated financial services.
- Contribute to technical design, estimates, backlog refinement, sprint planning, documentation, and shared engineering patterns.
- Mentor less-experienced developers and collaborate with product, design, quality, backend, architecture, security, and DevOps teams.
Requirements
- Strong commercial experience developing mobile applications with React Native.
- Advanced knowledge of JavaScript and TypeScript and strong understanding of React components, hooks, state management, and application lifecycle.
- Experience delivering and supporting applications on both iOS and Android.
- Experience integrating mobile applications with RESTful or GraphQL APIs.
- Understanding of secure token storage, session management, encryption, mobile authentication, accessibility, and responsive design.
- Experience with automated testing tools such as Jest, React Native Testing Library, Detox, or Appium.
- Familiarity with Xcode, Android Studio, CocoaPods, Gradle, Git-based development, pull requests, automated mobile build and release pipelines, and app-store release processes.
- Experience troubleshooting device-specific, platform-specific, and performance issues.
- Desirable experience with native iOS development using Swift; native Android development using Kotlin or Java; Expo; Fastlane; OWASP MASVS; certificate pinning; device integrity checks; biometric authentication; Keycloak; mobile monitoring and analytics platforms; feature flags; remote configuration; phased releases; AWS-hosted platforms; and containerized backend services.
- Experience in financial services or another regulated industry and understanding of privacy, data protection, and secure handling of personal and financial information are desirable.
- Familiarity with shared mobile design systems, behavioral-driven development, Cucumber-style acceptance criteria, Claude Code, or GitHub Copilot is desirable.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and mentoring skills.
