Responsibilities
- Design, develop, execute, and maintain moderately complex automated test scripts and test cases.
- Analyze requirements and collaborate with software engineering and cross-functional teams to understand application functionality and testing needs.
- Identify, document, track, and help resolve software defects using JIRA and related defect-management tools.
- Document test cases, test results, and defects clearly and concisely.
- Keep automated tests current with application changes and enhancements and recommend automation best practices.
- Provide guidance to associate automation quality engineers and perform manual testing when needed.
Requirements
- 2–4 years of overall testing experience and 1–2 years of automation testing experience, or equivalent automation training.
- Proficiency in core Java programming concepts.
- Experience with automation testing tools such as Selenium, Karate, JUnit, and TestNG, including debugging.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git.
- Knowledge of BDD frameworks such as Cucumber.
- Familiarity with SQL, database testing, UI/API functional testing, and JIRA or ZE management tools.
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills; design and estimation experience and Jenkins knowledge are desirable.
