Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable Java and Spring Boot backend services for core business workflows and high-volume data processing.
- Develop Kafka-based event-streaming pipelines, including topics, consumer groups, and message-processing patterns.
- Design relational database schemas and optimize PL/SQL or MySQL queries, stored procedures, and transactional processing.
- Refactor legacy components and integrate new microservices into existing enterprise systems.
- Implement unit, integration, and component tests and support continuous delivery practices.
- Monitor application performance, logs, and metrics to identify bottlenecks and drive tuning efforts.
- Apply secure coding practices and access-control policies to protect sensitive financial data.
- Collaborate with product analysts, quality teams, infrastructure and DevOps teams, and stakeholders to clarify requirements and deliver technical solutions.
- Participate in design and code reviews, document technical decisions and deployment procedures, and contribute to engineering process improvements.
Requirements
- Advanced proficiency in Java and Spring Boot, including experience building secure, scalable, and maintainable microservices.
- Hands-on expertise with Kafka and event-driven architectures.
- Strong PL/SQL or MySQL skills, including query tuning, stored procedures, and schema design.
- Understanding of finance and accounting concepts is desirable.
- Familiarity with software engineering practices including version control, automated testing, and continuous integration.
- Knowledge of hybrid work models, collaboration tools, and agile methods.
- Effective communication, problem-solving, technical documentation, and peer-collaboration abilities.
