Base Salary
$179k - $225k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead a portfolio of technology projects and a team of developers building distributed microservices and full-stack systems.
- Develop cloud-based solutions and collaborate with product managers, architects, and cross-functional engineering teams.
- Use languages, databases, containers, orchestration platforms, and AWS services to deliver software solutions.
- Define service boundaries, integration patterns, reusable frameworks, coding standards, and design patterns.
- Identify improvements, perform targeted refactoring, reduce technical debt, and optimize distributed-system performance.
- Provide technical leadership, mentor engineers, and influence long-term technology strategy in a you-build-it-you-own-it environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field.
- At least 4 years of software engineering experience, excluding internship experience.
- At least 2 years of experience with public cloud platforms, cloud-based productivity tools, or virtualization technologies.
- Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree, 7+ years coding with multiple listed languages, database experience, cloud experience, open-source contributions, frontend framework experience, API development, automated testing, Git-based version control, cloud troubleshooting, observability, AI coding tools, mentoring, and technical initiative leadership.

- Full-time annual salary ranges vary by location: $179,400-$204,700 in Plano or Chicago and $197,300-$225,100 in McLean.
