Base Salary
$143k - $245k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop test strategies, plans, cases, test data, and automated test suites.
- Deploy and execute functional, unit, pipeline, manual, and automated QA tests.
- Identify product defects, debug failures, determine root causes, and report issues through defect-tracking systems.
- Translate product requirements and features into QA tests with product management and development teams.
- Create and maintain test specifications and documentation, including reviewing and supporting user acceptance.
- Test transactional products, mainframe applications, multiplatform messaging systems, and user interfaces.
- Communicate status and schedules, coordinate with remote teams, escalate issues, and follow up on resolution.
- Work independently while applying outcome-focused thinking and maintaining high standards of quality.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of QA testing experience on IBM z/OS, IBM CICS, and Linux/Windows.
- BE, ME, or MTech in Computer Science, or relevant experience with related industry experience.
- Good understanding of IBM CICS, CICS applications, and basic transactional implementations.
- Working knowledge of IBM z/OS, JCL, IBM procedures, ISPF, and mainframe operational execution and commands.
- Experience testing transactional products such as Substation ES, IBM MQ, or IBM XCF.
- Extensive experience with multiplatform messaging such as TIBCO EMS/JMS and Apache Pulsar/Kafka.
- Strong understanding of UI frameworks, visual design testing, and front-end automation tools.
- Required experience with Selenium or Cypress.
- Strong oral and written communication, teamwork, organization, attention to detail, self-direction, and ability to work under deadlines.
