Base Salary
$109k - $120k/yr
Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize Windows Server environments and Kubernetes clusters for high availability and reliability.
- Automate operational tasks and developer workflows using PowerShell, Python, or Go.
- Own and improve observability capabilities using Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK.
- Troubleshoot and performance-tune distributed systems, IIS, and web applications.
- Operate configuration management, load-balancing, data, messaging, and CI/CD technologies.
- Identify infrastructure improvements, collaborate with Operations teams, and drive change.
- Participate in the on-call rotation for production issues outside normal working hours.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 4 years of overall IT or infrastructure experience, including at least 2 years supporting web-based applications for large-scale, high-traffic websites.
- Fluency with Windows Server and command-line environments, with willingness to work in Linux.
- Hands-on experience deploying, managing, or troubleshooting Kubernetes workloads.
- Experience creating automation scripts with PowerShell, Python, or Go.
- Experience with observability and monitoring ecosystems such as Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK.
- Operational knowledge of Puppet or Ansible; F5 Big-IP; Redis, Kafka, or RabbitMQ; and GitLab, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps.
- Understanding of distributed systems, IIS, web applications, TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, and traffic management.
- Ability to communicate detailed technical concepts clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability or willingness to use AI-assisted engineering tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or LLMs.
