Staff Software Engineer, Build Services - Teamfight Tactics
Riot GamesResponsibilities
- Develop and maintain patterns, tooling, and standards for foundational build and developer systems.
- Optimize build processes, performance monitoring, art and gameplay tools, and cross-functional deployment solutions.
- Configure CI/CD pipelines and contribute to test automation for performance and functional testing.
- Build and maintain release and version management tools.
- Provide technical leadership, architectural design, and hands-on implementation for scalable systems.
- Own build engineering operations, including monitoring dashboards, Slack integrations, code submission tooling, and CI build support.
- Track build metrics across build machines and development environments for production and internal workflows.
- Mentor engineers and promote code quality, maintainability, documentation, and engineering excellence.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of professional software development experience.
- At least 4 years of professional experience with C++ or Java.
- At least 3 years of professional experience with Unreal Engine and Horde.
- At least 3 years of Perforce experience.
- Experience with mobile and PC/desktop build environments, game build processes, CI/CD pipeline configuration, and test automation.
- Strong object-oriented C, C++, and C# programming experience and knowledge of data-driven design principles.
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or proven understanding of Computer Science fundamentals.
- Product sense, pragmatism, and developer empathy in technical decision-making.
