Responsibilities
- Develop test strategies, use cases, scenarios, and execution plans for L3/L4 autonomous-driving products and vehicle platforms.
- Define test cases and critical performance metrics based on functional and safety requirements, customer needs, regulations, certification standards, and industry guidelines.
- Collaborate with engineering, safety, product, and other stakeholders to define KPIs, evaluate product progress, and close the loop using test data and results.
- Design campaigns and roadmaps to scale and innovate operational design domains (ODDs).
- Lead L3/L4 vehicle integration and retrofitting, managing end-to-end processes to advance testing and validation schedules.
- Perform data triage and root-cause analysis, drive issue resolution, and produce comprehensive test reports.
- Promote systems engineering practices and mentor junior engineers while establishing rigorous testing and validation standards.
Requirements
- MS or PhD in Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of experience in ADAS, systems analysis, data analysis, and software architecture.
- At least 3 years of experience driving mass-production launches of autonomous-driving products, including supervised FSD, urban NOA, or equivalent features.
- Proficiency in programming languages used in autonomous-vehicle development and testing, such as Python and C++, plus familiarity with data-query and analysis tools.
- Awareness of functional safety, ISO 26262, SOTIF/ISO 21448, and V-model validation methodologies.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to align large organizations.
- Understanding of trade-offs between end-to-end deep learning and classical modular perception/planning stacks, including their validation and testing strategies.
- Deep understanding of LiDAR, Radar, Camera, and Ultrasonic sensor suites, including failure modes, edge cases, and validation requirements.
- Experience contributing to a launched L3/L4 autonomous-vehicle program and hands-on experience with ADAS testing strategy, large-scale datasets, and data analytics workflows are preferred.
