Responsibilities
- Implement, operate, and optimize modernized and virtualized network infrastructure.
- Apply architectural standards, reference models, and guidelines to improve security, resiliency, and scalability.
- Evaluate and implement network technologies aligned with user needs and industry developments.
- Provide network consultation for project deployments and resolve technical problems with stakeholders.
- Design and build deployable proof-of-concepts or prototypes for software-defined networking services.
- Develop automation scripts for network provisioning and deprovisioning.
- Enhance network monitoring and alerting systems.
- Document explored technologies and present findings to management and users.
Requirements
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python.
- Experience with automation tools such as Ansible.
- Experience with cloud networking technologies, network function virtualization, network routing protocols, and micro-segmentation.
- Knowledge of open-source observability frameworks and monitoring and logging stacks such as ELK.
- Undergraduate or pre-university student status.
- Self-motivated and eager to learn.
