Responsibilities
- Build and ship high-quality iOS applications for Proton Pass, Payments, Proton VPN, and other privacy-focused products.
- Design and maintain scalable, testable mobile architectures across large codebases.
- Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to define and deliver excellent user experiences.
- Improve application performance, concurrency, and mobile memory management.
- Mentor engineers and raise the technical bar within the team.
- Contribute to product and technical discussions in ambiguous, cross-functional environments.
Requirements
- Extensive experience building and shipping high-quality iOS applications.
- Strong experience with maintainable, scalable, and testable mobile architectures.
- Strong understanding of performance, concurrency, and mobile memory management.
- Experience working across large codebases and collaborating with multiple teams.
- Experience mentoring engineers and improving engineering standards.
- Strong focus on product quality, usability, and exceptional user experiences.
- Experience with privacy, security, encryption, synchronization systems, or offline-first architectures is a plus.
- Rust experience is a plus but is not required.
