Responsibilities

  • Build and ship high-quality iOS applications for Proton Pass, Payments, Proton VPN, and other privacy-focused products.
  • Design and maintain scalable, testable mobile architectures across large codebases.
  • Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to define and deliver excellent user experiences.
  • Improve application performance, concurrency, and mobile memory management.
  • Mentor engineers and raise the technical bar within the team.
  • Contribute to product and technical discussions in ambiguous, cross-functional environments.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience building and shipping high-quality iOS applications.
  • Strong experience with maintainable, scalable, and testable mobile architectures.
  • Strong understanding of performance, concurrency, and mobile memory management.
  • Experience working across large codebases and collaborating with multiple teams.
  • Experience mentoring engineers and improving engineering standards.
  • Strong focus on product quality, usability, and exceptional user experiences.
  • Experience with privacy, security, encryption, synchronization systems, or offline-first architectures is a plus.
  • Rust experience is a plus but is not required.
