Base Salary
$114k - $171k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead application systems analysis and programming activities for new and revised application systems.
- Partner with management teams to integrate functions, identify system enhancements, and deliver new products and process improvements.
- Resolve high-impact problems and projects through detailed evaluation of business processes, system processes, and industry standards.
- Design applications aligned with the overall architecture blueprint and develop coding, testing, debugging, and implementation standards.
- Analyze complex issues and develop innovative solutions using advanced knowledge of system flow and applications programming.
- Advise and coach mid-level developers and analysts and allocate work as necessary.
- Assess and manage business, compliance, operational, and reputational risks.
- Drive operational process change and improvement while managing project ownership, deadlines, and changing requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or university degree, or equivalent experience.
- 6 to 10 years of relevant engineering experience.
- 8+ years of experience with Java, including Core Java, J2EE, and Spring Boot; Python; web services; XML; JavaScript; microservices; and SOA.
- 3+ years of experience with Apache Spark, Hive, Hadoop, and Storm.
- Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.
- Knowledge of ELK, Docker, Kubernetes, Azure Cloud, AWS S3, MongoDB, HBase, Cassandra, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience in financial services or a large, complex, and/or global environment.
- Clear written and verbal communication, analytical and diagnostic skills, and the ability to work independently in a matrix environment.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and partner with virtual teams.
- Comprehensive knowledge of design metrics, analytics tools, benchmarking, and related reporting.
