Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Design solution, application, and data architectures and develop technical concepts, feasibility studies, proofs of concept, and scalable software solutions.
- Assess and optimize IT architectures, application landscapes, development processes, and technology environments.
- Support IT transformation, implementation projects, mergers and acquisitions, and organizational process restructuring.
- Evaluate enterprise products, software packages, systems, and solutions, including ERP, HR, and data analytics environments.
- Review technical architecture and code and assess quality assurance for IT implementations.
- Lead client modules, present findings, explain complex technology topics, build consensus, mentor teams, and foster cross-functional collaboration.
- Drive innovation, apply emerging technologies, and support business development through proposal writing and project scoping.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, business administration, computer science, business management, systems controls and engineering, or a related field.
- Master's degree in a related field is preferred but not required.
- At least 4 years of professional software engineering experience, including more than 1 year in architecture.
- Superior technical knowledge, engineering rigor, creative problem-solving, and the ability to communicate complex technology topics to senior executives.
- Extensive knowledge of technology stacks, cloud-native applications and services architecture, integration, APIs, microservices, databases, transaction processing, monitoring, resiliency, disaster recovery, and business continuity.
- Knowledge of next-generation capabilities such as AI/ML, IoT, blockchain, data analytics architecture, process automation, DevOps, and AIOps.
- Experience with agile engineering and tooling support, GenAI tools such as ChatGPT or Claude, and validation of GenAI responses.
- US citizenship and an active security clearance or ability to obtain one, such as DoD Secret or Top Secret, are preferred for the public-sector portfolio.
- Prior portfolio and project management experience with US federal government agencies in a technology consulting context is preferred.
- Willingness to travel to client sites and BCG offices, potentially with significant travel depending on client needs and projects.
