Base Salary
$117k - $194k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and ship production-grade software for distributed infrastructure services.
- Design systems that collect telemetry from storage, network, and server infrastructure and generate actionable alerts.
- Automate infrastructure services and processes across data-center environments.
- Design and orchestrate systems integrating AI agents into human workflows.
- Review human- and AI-generated code for correctness, quality, security, and performance.
- Maintain shared system context containing system designs, constraints, and standards.
- Participate in an on-call rotation.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience supporting codebases for distributed services implemented in modern programming languages such as Clojure, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
- Experience automating systems services and processes.
- Experience using source control such as Git and unit testing.
- Experience publishing and consuming REST APIs.
- CI/CD experience with Jenkins.
- Knowledge of Red Hat Linux configuration, packages, services, daemons, shells, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with configuration automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
- Experience using AI development tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Codex, or Cursor.
- Advanced prompt engineering skills and ability to cultivate reliable, secure, production-ready system context for AI outputs.
- A related technical degree.
- Preferred experience monitoring and alerting network and storage infrastructure in high-availability data-center environments.
- Preferred experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Helm, and Spinnaker.
- Preferred knowledge of SNMP, BGP, OSPF or ISIS, LAN switching, load balancers, IPv4/IPv6 addressing and subnetting, HTTP, HTTPS, TCP/UDP, Elasticsearch, and Cassandra.
