Staff Software Engineer, Security

Responsibilities
- Own the development and maturation of the TRS products and software services security roadmap.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to build solutions that meet or exceed industry-standard security goals.
- Identify and remediate weaknesses in designs, implementations, integrations, and processes.
- Design and develop security software for embedded systems.
- Conduct complex security architecture reviews, research and mitigate hardware and software exploits, and implement critical security features.
Requirements
- Maintain strategic vision and technical depth with active involvement in security architecture and implementation.
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages, such as C, C++, Rust, or Python.
- Experience assessing and improving the security of firmware, applications, networks, IoT, or embedded systems.
- Experience building, testing, and delivering production-ready systems, particularly embedded or Linux systems.
- Familiarity with anti-tamper and reverse-engineering mechanisms.
- Experience in platform security engineering and secure SDLC implementation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and a commitment to practical, mission-enabling security solutions.
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Top Secret clearance.
- Preferred: familiarity with security architectures for embedded, aerospace, or cyber-physical systems.
- Preferred: experience with programmable logic devices and their development tools.
- Preferred: knowledge of cyber threat actors, their tactics, techniques, and procedures, and implications for weapon and space system operations.
- Preferred: experience conducting incident response in cloud and embedded systems.
