Responsibilities
- Design, build, and ship native iOS apps using Swift and native Android apps using Kotlin from prototype through store release.
- Own mobile architecture, tooling, build and release pipelines, and App Store and Google Play submissions.
- Review, quality-gate, and repair native code, including code generated by AI coding agents.
- Collaborate with product designers and product owners on features, requirements, and user experience.
- Rapidly prototype product ideas and convert successful concepts into production-quality apps.
- Advise the wider team on native versus cross-platform trade-offs and mobile best practices.
Requirements
- Solid hands-on experience with native iOS development in Swift, including SwiftUI or UIKit.
- Working knowledge of native Android development in Kotlin.
- Strong product sense and the ability to work autonomously across the full app lifecycle.
- Daily fluent use of AI coding tools and the judgment to critically review their output.
- Experience with React Native or other cross-platform frameworks is nice to have.
- Startup or founder experience, experience running apps as a business, connected-device or hardware integration experience, and familiarity with a Node.js backend stack are nice to have.
