Base Salary
$212k - $260k/yr
Responsibilities
- Envision, champion, and support novel ML systems, product integrations, and performance optimizations for real-world problems.
- Design and build efficient AI solutions for Airbnb Community Support products with product, design, and engineering partners.
- Develop and enhance AI models, ML services, and tools including LLM fine-tuning, RAG/Search, LLM evaluation, testing automation, feedback-based learning, and guardrails.
- Take early-stage concepts from inception through production and share the latest AI and ML technologies with the team.
Requirements
- PhD or master’s degree, preferably in computer science, or equivalent experience.
- 9+ years of machine learning engineering experience with ownership responsibility over large-scale software systems.
- Experience designing and developing AI and machine learning systems and services.
- Passion for building efficient and scalable ML-powered products.
- Experience with LLM-driven chatbot and agentic AI products is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across engineering, product, and design teams.
