Responsibilities
- Provide Level 3 support for Azure Cloud, Azure DevOps, AKS, and related platform services.
- Troubleshoot complex availability, deployment, performance, networking, access, and configuration incidents; document root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Operate and improve Azure services across compute, storage, networking, identity, monitoring, security, backup, and recovery.
- Configure and support Azure DevOps repositories, Boards, YAML and Classic build and release pipelines, approvals, environments, and release practices.
- Establish Git branching, repository governance, pull-request, peer-review, and controlled code-promotion policies.
- Develop and maintain Terraform code and reusable modules for automated Azure resource deployment and integrate infrastructure as code into pipelines.
- Support microservices running on Azure Kubernetes Service by configuring and troubleshooting Kubernetes resources and Helm charts.
- Apply Azure RBAC and least-privilege access, including managed identities, service connections, and access reviews.
- Use Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights to improve service health, reliability, capacity, observability, and operational readiness.
- Apply ITIL Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Enablement, and continual improvement processes.
- Supervise technical work, mentor engineers, coordinate stakeholders, and lead technical investigations and improvement initiatives.
- Participate in planned after-hours maintenance and rotational on-call support when required.
Requirements
- 8+ years of progressive experience in cloud engineering, infrastructure engineering, DevOps, platform engineering, or site reliability engineering.
- Demonstrated experience operating and supporting production services in Microsoft Azure.
- Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps YAML and Classic build and release pipelines.
- Practical experience implementing Git branching and repository governance policies.
- Hands-on experience writing Terraform code and deploying Azure resources through automated pipelines.
- Hands-on experience supporting microservices on AKS using Kubernetes and Helm charts.
- Experience applying RBAC and access-control standards in cloud and DevOps environments.
- Working experience with ITIL Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Enablement, and continual improvement.
- Proficiency with PowerShell, Bash, or Python scripting and familiarity with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or Information Systems is preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
- Preferred certifications include Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, HashiCorp Terraform Associate, CKA/CKAD, or ITIL Foundation.
- Ability to supervise technical work, mentor engineers, communicate clearly, prioritize work, make risk-based decisions, and lead improvement initiatives.
