Responsibilities
- Design and develop software products using modern architectures, cloud-native application approaches, Java, Spring Boot, React or Angular, and microservices.
- Lead technical design reviews, code reviews, API development, system integration, testing strategy, quality management, performance optimization, and stability improvements.
- Define requirements and specifications with product owners and customers, translate business needs into technical solutions, and lead customer workshops and technical proposals.
- Plan and manage delivery projects, including schedules, progress, risks, issues, escalations, and collaboration with offshore and nearshore teams.
- Lead agile development teams and support DevSecOps and CI/CD processes using tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, Git, and Jenkins.
- Promote the use of AI, Generative AI, IoT, digital twins, and other advanced technologies in strategic industry initiatives.
- Support RFP/RFI responses, proposal and estimate preparation, new customer development, and account expansion.
- Mentor junior members, standardize best practices, participate in technical communities, and strengthen team and organizational capabilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
- 7–15 years of software development experience.
- Professional development experience with Java, Spring Boot, and React or Angular.
- Experience designing REST APIs and microservices architectures.
- Experience using at least one of AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience building CI/CD using Docker, Kubernetes, Git, Jenkins, or similar tools.
- Practical experience with agile development methods such as Scrum or SAFe.
- Business-level or higher Japanese and English communication skills.
- Preferred qualifications include experience as a solution architect or technical lead, enterprise architecture, cloud migration leadership, non-functional requirements, consulting, customer negotiation, end-to-end delivery, project management, global or offshore collaboration, proposal and presales work, RFP/RFI responses, and business development.
- Preferred advanced-technology experience includes Generative AI/LLMs, Data & AI platforms, software-defined products, IoT platforms, automotive software-defined vehicles, embedded software, digital twins, edge computing, or Industry 4.0/smart manufacturing.
