Responsibilities
- Design and deliver automotive voice interaction solutions focused on Japanese ASR use cases.
- Analyze product and customer requirements and translate them into technical and system-level specifications.
- Prepare, evaluate, tune, and validate ASR data and voice systems.
- Design and execute ASR and voice feature testing, including competitive benchmarking.
- Perform ASR error analysis and collaborate with R&D teams on optimization and issue resolution.
- Support end-to-end system testing, customer validation, and project delivery.
- Act as a technical interface for customers during requirement clarification and issue analysis.
- Collaborate with product, R&D, QA, and program teams to ensure timely, high-quality delivery.
- Communicate effectively with teams in Japan, China, and other global locations.
Requirements
- Native Japanese language ability and strong English communication skills.
- At least 3 years of experience in ASR, voice interaction, speech systems, or intelligent cockpit products.
- Understanding of voice-enabled cockpit products covering navigation, media, phone, and assistant domains.
- Ability to analyze product requirements and communicate effectively with customers.
- Hands-on experience with ASR evaluation, tuning, or system integration.
- Programming experience in C/C++, Python, or Java, with familiarity with Linux/Unix.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant technical field.
- Experience with Japanese automotive OEMs or joint ventures such as Toyota, Honda, Nissan, or Mazda is preferred.
