Base Salary
$87k - $157k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration, testing, and delivery.
- Manage Kubernetes clusters, container orchestration, container images, registries, and deployment artifacts.
- Develop and maintain Terraform-based infrastructure as code and automate provisioning, scaling, and configuration management.
- Integrate SAST, DAST, and SCA security scanning into delivery pipelines.
- Manage development, test, and production environments for consistency and reliability.
- Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability solutions.
- Improve build times, deployment frequency, platform reliability, and developer experience.
- Support incident response and troubleshoot infrastructure and deployment issues.
- Implement software supply chain security, including SBOM generation, artifact signing, dependency scanning, and build provenance.
- Support self-service developer platform capabilities, documentation, and AI-assisted engineering practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline with 4 or more years of experience, or a master’s degree with 2 or more years of experience, or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree.
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
- Hands-on Kubernetes cluster management and container orchestration experience.
- Proficiency with Terraform or equivalent infrastructure-as-code tools and strong Docker experience.
- Solid Linux systems administration skills and scripting experience with Bash and Python.
- Experience with security scanning tools, DevSecOps practices, software supply chain security, Sigstore, SLSA, and SBOM generation.
- Understanding of networking, load balancing, service mesh concepts, artifact management, and build provenance tracking.
- Experience supporting internal developer platforms and developer experience initiatives.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust investigation and successfully complete required government background investigations.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- Preferred qualifications include AWS or Azure, GovCloud, FedRAMP or government compliance, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Istio, Linkerd, ArgoCD, Flux, Vault, cert-manager, Backstage, and aviation, defense, or government program experience.

- The role is hybrid with 3 days onsite and 2 days working from home for candidates within a commutable distance of Gaithersburg, MD; Eagan, MN; or Egg Harbor Township, NJ.
- Candidates outside the stated commutable areas may be considered for a 100% remote arrangement.
- The position supports mission-critical government air traffic systems and requires Public Trust eligibility.
