Base Salary
$66k - $106k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, implement, and maintain automated unit, integration, regression, and end-to-end functional tests.
- Integrate automated test cases into the Government-managed DevSecOps pipeline and expand legacy regression coverage.
- Lead test automation assessments, evaluate test architecture, and mentor junior QA engineers.
- Develop requirements traceability matrices, testing reports, release notes, software version descriptions, and other formal test documentation.
- Manage defect triage, root cause analysis, escalation workflows, JIRA tracking, and weekly defect escalation reporting.
- Lead Section 508/WCAG 2.0 Level AA accessibility testing and prepare VPATs, remediation reports, and conformance documentation.
- Lead stress and load testing in the ProdSim environment and support disaster recovery and IV&V activities.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, maintain sprint quality metrics, enforce quality gates, and submit monthly Quality Status Reports.
Requirements
- Minimum of 8 years of experience with a BS/BA, 6 years with an MS/MA, or 3 years with a PhD.
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain Public Trust clearance.
- Cybersecurity workforce certification such as Security+ or CASP+.
- Hands-on experience developing automated test frameworks and scripts using tools such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, Cucumber, Python, or Java.
- Working knowledge of Test-Driven Development practices in Agile sprint cycles.
- Proficiency with JIRA for defect tracking, sprint management, and reporting.
- Experience developing Requirements Traceability Matrices, UAT plans, and formal testing documentation.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automated test integration, and DevSecOps environments.
- Experience with Section 508/WCAG 2.0 Level AA accessibility testing and VPAT preparation.
- Strong communication and documentation skills for reporting QA status and metrics to program and government stakeholders.
- ISTQB Foundation or Advanced certification is preferred.
- Experience with DoD or federal IT programs, eMASS, Fortify Software Security Center, ServiceNow, performance/load testing, NIST SP 800-53 Rev. 5, or DoD healthcare and benefits systems is preferred.
- Experience mentoring junior QA team members and reviewing test artifacts is preferred.
