Responsibilities

  • Design and implement enhanced threat detection methodologies.
  • Coordinate with government stakeholders to evaluate existing security controls.
  • Create and maintain tailored scripts to improve SIEM capabilities.
  • Assess the reliability of security data feeds and recommend enhancements.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to establish alert prioritization requirements.
  • Leverage knowledge of network infrastructure and security log analysis.
  • Partner with SMEs to enhance security monitoring capabilities.
  • Evaluate and implement enhancements to SIEM data ingestion processes.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for developed use cases and scripts.
  • Prepare and deliver technical documentation and reports to stakeholders.
  • Ensure cybersecurity activities comply with government security requirements.
  • Maintain certifications and security clearance requirements.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five years of professional experience in information technology.
  • At least three years of hands-on experience with SIEM platforms.
  • Experience in system or network administration within an enterprise IT environment.
  • Knowledge of multiple security and system log formats.
  • Familiarity with the MITRE ATT&CK framework.
  • Strong working knowledge of network infrastructure and protocols.
  • Experience developing automation or custom scripts using PowerShell or Python.
  • Knowledge of Defense-in-Depth security principles.
  • DoD Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification or higher.
