Base Salary
$105k - $235k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead cross-team evolution of middleware patterns and runtimes for interoperability and multi-tenant scale.
- Define API versioning, deprecation, lifecycle, compatibility, and safe rollout strategies.
- Drive shared observability baselines, SLOs, error budgets, resilience patterns, capacity planning, and service health practices.
- Design, implement, test, debug, document, and optimize scalable software solutions and features.
- Contribute to software architecture, architectural standards, performance optimization, and technology evaluation.
- Investigate and resolve complex cross-service, API integration, maintenance, defect, and customer-reported issues.
- Apply secure coding, software quality, monitoring, patching, and system maintenance practices.
- Provide technical leadership, code reviews, coaching, mentoring, and guidance to less experienced engineers.
- Coordinate moderately complex projects and initiatives, including timelines, deliverables, priorities, and technical oversight.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and customers, advocate for customer needs, and recommend product enhancements.
- Create migration guides, adoption playbooks, training processes, and ecosystem consistency improvements.
- Participate in candidate interviews, candidate assessment, and hiring recommendations.
Requirements
- Advanced software engineering and architecture knowledge with experience leading complex platform, middleware, runtime, or interoperability work.
- Ability to develop scalable software, resolve complex technical issues, implement API strategies, and optimize performance.
- Experience with observability, resilience, reliability, testing, debugging, secure coding, maintenance, and software lifecycle practices.
- Ability to provide technical leadership, coach engineers, collaborate across teams, and coordinate moderately complex initiatives.
- Ability to work with stakeholders and customers to investigate issues and align short- and long-term solutions.
- Ability to contribute to architecture reviews, technical standards, process improvement, and candidate evaluation.
