Responsibilities
- Collaborate with technical personnel and stakeholders to finalize requirements and translate complex product requirements into software designs.
- Write and review detailed specifications and implement complex system components and bug fixes.
- Develop test-driven code, conduct code reviews, and follow coding and development best practices.
- Support and maintain the legacy and new Enterprise API Platforms, including API onboarding, developer-portal functionality, and support-request resolution.
- Resolve complex technical issues and work across development environments and team members.
- Train and mentor entry-level software engineers on critical aspects of their roles.
Requirements
- Expertise with Java, JavaScript, Groovy, JSP, HTML, XML, SQL, and Bash.
- Experience with Maven and Gradle build tools.
- Experience with relational database management systems, especially PostgreSQL.
- Experience using AWS services through Terraform, including Secrets Manager, Kinesis Firehose, S3, and OpenSearch.
- Experience configuring New Relic and Kibana for metrics, observability, and alerting.
- Experience using Docker, containers, Helm, and Kustomize to manage Kubernetes applications.
- Experience using kubectl, k9s, and similar tools to observe and manage Kubernetes resources.
- Knowledge of networking concepts and AWS ACM certificates, VPCs, and transit gateways is a bonus.
