Responsibilities
- Develop infrastructure-as-code and scripting automation using Python, Ansible, and Terraform.
- Design, build, and maintain AWS infrastructure and services, including EC2, Lambda, S3, SNS, SQS, Event Router, Athena, and Step Functions.
- Manage Kubernetes clusters and container platforms using Kubernetes, Docker Compose, NiFi, EKS, ECS, and/or Fargate.
- Build and manage GitLab CI/CD pipelines, GitLab runners, Argo CD, and GitOps delivery workflows.
- Implement automated testing, security scanning, quality gates, infrastructure validation, monitoring, alerting, and incident response.
- Manage AWS networking, IAM policies, security groups, encryption, resource utilization, cost optimization, and capacity planning.
- Patch, harden, and maintain RHEL-based systems and infrastructure in accordance with DoD security requirements.
- Implement and maintain STIG compliance and support RMF, NIST 800-53, security audits, and vulnerability remediation.
- Collaborate with development teams to optimize application performance, reliability, and system uptime.
- Troubleshoot production infrastructure issues and communicate with program stakeholders in a classified environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience with 4+ additional years of relevant experience in lieu of the degree.
- 12+ years of professional experience in DevOps engineering, infrastructure automation, and cloud platform management within DoD or IC classified environments; the prime qualification lists 9+ years with a bachelor's degree or 7+ years with a master's degree.
- Active TS/SCI clearance with FS Polygraph before starting.
- Current Security+ CE certification before starting.
- Hands-on Kubernetes, AWS, and infrastructure-as-code experience.
- Proficiency with Python, Ansible, Terraform, GitLab runners, Argo CD, Kubernetes, Docker Compose, and NiFi.
- Experience managing AWS commercial cloud platforms and AWS networking services.
- Experience patching, hardening, and maintaining compliant RHEL systems.
- Experience developing and managing GitLab CI/CD pipelines and GitOps-based continuous delivery.
- Understanding of cloud-native logging, metrics collection, infrastructure testing, security scanning, and vulnerability remediation.
