Responsibilities
- Standardize and automate cloud provisioning and support through reusable cloud services and interfaces.
- Develop infrastructure as code on AWS, Azure, and GCP for non-production and production environments.
- Implement automated configuration and deployment processes for enterprise cloud offerings.
- Define and track SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets to balance reliability and delivery speed.
- Participate in on-call rotations, respond to and resolve incidents, and contribute to blameless post-incident reviews.
- Automate repetitive operational tasks to reduce toil.
- Build and maintain monitoring, alerting, and observability for cloud services, including metrics, logs, traces, and dashboards.
- Contribute to capacity planning and performance tuning and maintain runbooks and operational documentation.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience writing CloudFormation, Azure Resource Manager, or equivalent GCP templates for infrastructure as code.
- Strong scripting experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP SDKs or command-line interfaces.
- Expertise with PowerShell and Python, and experience using JSON or YAML for templates and configuration.
- Understanding of SRE principles, including SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, incident management, and blameless post-mortems.
- At least 1 year of experience with monitoring and observability tools such as CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Prometheus, or Grafana.
- Familiarity with Git and automated build, test, and deployment pipelines.
- Working knowledge of Google Cloud Platform compute, storage, networking, and IAM services.
- Knowledge of APIs and working knowledge of SQL, NoSQL, MySQL, and AWS RDS.
- Willingness to participate in on-call rotations and respond to production incidents.
