Responsibilities
- Work with AWS services covering IAM, networking, compute, storage, and managed data services.
- Manage Kubernetes/EKS clusters, including multi-tenancy, RBAC, workload isolation, and security hardening.
- Drive GitOps practices with FluxCD, including multi-environment promotion and drift detection.
- Build and maintain Jenkins CI/CD pipelines.
- Author and maintain Terraform modules, Helm charts, and ACK controllers.
- Manage networking and traffic using Linkerd and Kong across east-west and north-south patterns.
- Define and monitor SLOs and SLIs with Datadog and Prometheus/Grafana.
- Integrate code-quality and security scanning into engineering pipelines.
- Support event-driven architectures using Kafka, AWS MSK, and Debezium.
- Write automation in Bash, Python, and Groovy.
- Use Claude and Claude Code across pipelines, code quality, operational automation, debugging, and documentation.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in a Platform or DevOps role with ownership of outcomes.
- Deep AWS experience and a record of building resilient cloud-native systems.
- Strong knowledge of platforms, golden paths, self-service, and reducing developer toil.
- Practical understanding of DNS, TCP/IP, TLS, ingress, service mesh, and zero-trust networking.
- Comfort using AI in engineering workflows and understanding LLMs and the wider AI ecosystem for architectural decision-making.
- Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, maintain quality, and continue learning.
