Responsibilities
- Own the implementation and technical effectiveness of broad platform, product, feature, or framework areas.
- Design, develop, optimize, test, and improve enterprise software applications.
- Apply design patterns and frameworks, improve code performance, and address usability, security, memory management, reliability, and maintainability.
- Conduct in-depth code reviews covering structure, performance, reliability, and maintainability.
- Improve development practices through automation, tooling, process improvement, technical training, and peer leadership.
- Own technical testing and performance planning for projects.
- Lead medium-sized or complex projects with limited supervision and engage project stakeholders.
- Provide technical and strategic input to platform-wide architectural and business discussions.
- Mentor and manage junior engineers contributing to the role’s area of work.
Requirements
- A degree in a related discipline.
- Proficiency with Java/J2EE, Spring, and other Java frameworks.
- At least 6 years of continuous enterprise software application development experience, or an advanced degree in a related discipline plus at least 4 years of continuous experience.
- Experience with team development tools and organizational structures.
- Ability to multitask effectively.
- Experience providing technical leadership within a software development team.
- Strong understanding of complex code constructs, design patterns, frameworks, performance optimization, testing, code review, and software architecture.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
