Responsibilities
- Lead the technical design, development, testing, performance, scalability, reliability, and security of cloud data services.
- Design and implement data movement, transformation, validation, and integration solutions between enterprise systems and AWS Cloud.
- Provide data integration expertise across ETL/ELT, batch and real-time integration, data streaming, data modeling, data management, and data pipelines.
- Review designs, code, and test cases to establish and improve delivery quality.
- Guide and coach engineering team members while helping establish engineering practices including test-driven development, continuous integration, and automated deployment.
- Collaborate with business and technical partners to create modular, scalable data solutions and communicate complex concepts and business value.
- Evaluate and integrate AI tools into engineering workflows for code generation, testing, documentation, and process automation.
Requirements
- 8+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering.
- Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- In-depth knowledge of database structures and data warehousing principles.
- Advanced SQL experience across multiple platforms, including structured and unstructured enterprise data.
- Experience with ETL tools and platforms such as Informatica, Talend, SSIS, or Azure Data Factory.
- Experience with Python procedural programming, Airflow DAGs, data streaming, data modeling, data management, and data pipelines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate with audiences at all levels.
- Preferred: 3+ years of healthcare domain experience, ideally involving provider data.
- Preferred: familiarity with the HL7 FHIR data standard.
- Experience integrating AI tools into daily engineering workflows and evaluating emerging AI technologies.
