Responsibilities
- Own and evolve the solution architecture and technical roadmap for Securities-Based Lending products.
- Translate product roadmaps, business capabilities, and non-functional requirements into long-term technical solutions.
- Lead high-level design across applications, APIs, integrations, data, cloud, and infrastructure.
- Define architectural patterns for cloud-native, API-first, and distributed systems.
- Produce architecture documentation including high-level designs, diagrams, data flows, and architecture decision records.
- Partner with engineers, technology leads, and SRE teams throughout delivery to review designs and resolve architectural risks, dependencies, and trade-offs.
- Drive platform modernization and promote reusable engineering standards and best practices.
- Embed observability, operability, availability, security, and supportability into solution designs.
- Contribute to architecture and security governance while mentoring engineers and technology leads.
Requirements
- Significant software engineering and architecture experience, ideally 10+ years, including experience as a Solutions, Product, or Technical Architect.
- Proven experience delivering enterprise-scale software products in complex environments.
- Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, microservices, distributed systems, and AWS-based solutions.
- Experience designing cloud-native applications using containers, Infrastructure as Code, and modern CI/CD practices.
- Strong understanding of API design, integration, service boundaries, data flows, relational data, and secure cloud architecture.
- Ability to define and balance scalability, availability, resilience, performance, security, observability, and maintainability requirements.
- Experience modernizing established platforms while supporting ongoing product delivery and backward compatibility.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills with technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience working in Agile delivery teams across Engineering, Product, Security, and SRE/Infrastructure.
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Full professional English proficiency.
- Experience in financial services, lending, collateral management, regulated environments, SaaS or multi-client enterprise platforms, event-driven architecture, architecture governance, and mentoring senior engineers is highly desirable.
- AWS or architecture certifications are beneficial but not essential.
