Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize LLM training, inference, and reinforcement-learning frameworks.
- Collaborate with model researchers to scale LLM training and reinforcement learning.
- Optimize GPU and CUDA performance to build high-performance LLM training, inference, and reinforcement-learning engines.
- Develop and maintain massively distributed, scalable, reliable ML training and inference systems integrating heterogeneous hardware and storage.
Requirements
- Completing or recently completed a PhD in software development, computer science, computer engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Proficiency in algorithms and data structures and familiarity with Python.
- Understanding of deep-learning algorithms and neural-network architectures.
- Understanding of deep-learning training frameworks such as PyTorch.
- Preferred: proficiency in CUDA GPU high-performance-computing optimization, computer architecture, parallel-computing optimization, memory-access optimization, and low-bit computing.
- Preferred: familiarity with FSDP, DeepSpeed, JAX SPMD, Megatron-LM, Verl, TensorRT-LLM, ORCA, vLLM, and SGLang.
- Preferred: knowledge of LLM models and experience accelerating LLM model optimization.
