Base Salary
$155k - $180k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own, architect, manage, and scale the organization’s Kubernetes platform using EKS.
- Build and maintain Helm charts for scalable and consistent application deployments.
- Define and manage reproducible AWS infrastructure across environments with Terraform and Terragrunt.
- Monitor AWS usage and implement cloud-cost reduction strategies without compromising performance or reliability.
- Implement and maintain metrics, logs, alerting, and other observability capabilities for availability and performance.
- Enforce least-privilege IAM policies, secure networking, and effective secrets management.
- Partner with development, product, and security teams on infrastructure solutions and large-scale engineering initiatives.
- Mentor engineers and establish DevOps standards and best practices across the organization.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in DevOps, infrastructure, or SRE, including 2+ years in a senior or principal-level role.
- Deep experience with AWS services including EKS, EC2, IAM, VPC, and S3.
- Expert-level knowledge of Kubernetes in production environments.
- Proficiency with Helm for application lifecycle management.
- Strong hands-on experience with Terraform and Terragrunt.
- Ability to script with Bash, Python, or Go.
- Experience building and maintaining GitOps workflows such as Argo CD.
- Experience monitoring, analyzing, and reducing AWS costs.
- Strong understanding of Linux, networking, and cloud security principles.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, leadership-oriented mindset.
- Preferred experience includes regulated or high-compliance environments such as SOC 2, HIPAA, or PCI.
- Preferred familiarity with the LGTM monitoring stack, Karpenter, ExternalDNS, or the EBS CSI driver.
- Contributions to open source or DevOps communities are a plus.
