Responsibilities
- Execute performance test scenarios based on user stories, requirements, and application architecture.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance Apache JMeter performance test scripts and automation frameworks.
- Design and implement automation for performance, scalability, and resiliency validation.
- Create and maintain Jenkins pipelines and Groovy scripts for test execution, reporting, orchestration, and continuous validation.
- Manage performance testing with BlazeMeter, including scheduling, execution, analysis, and reporting.
- Analyze results, identify performance bottlenecks, and provide recommendations to engineering and development teams.
- Track test execution and communicate findings, risks, and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Recommend delivery-pipeline enhancements to improve automation, efficiency, and reliability.
- Write code and automate testing processes while following performance engineering standards, policies, and procedures.
- Align risk and control processes with daily responsibilities and escalate risks appropriately.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in performance engineering, test automation, software development, or a related field.
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent practical experience.
- Hands-on experience developing and executing performance tests with Apache JMeter.
- Experience using BlazeMeter for performance test management, execution, reporting, and analysis.
- Experience building and maintaining Jenkins pipelines and developing Groovy automation scripts.
- Strong Java programming experience and knowledge of object-oriented design principles.
- Experience with Python for automation, test engineering, scripting, and data processing.
- Familiarity with Git or Bitbucket source control tools.
- Experience with Java APIs, multithreading, Spring Boot, and enterprise application frameworks.
- Experience integrating JMeter and BlazeMeter into CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with React development for web applications and dashboards.
- Ability to troubleshoot application and performance issues using logs, metrics, and monitoring tools.
- Understanding of load, stress, endurance/soak, scalability, capacity-planning, performance-tuning, and bottleneck-analysis concepts.
- Strong collaboration, communication, analytical, problem-solving, and quality-review skills.
- Preferred experience with enterprise-scale distributed systems, cloud applications, observability tools, high-volume financial services applications, resiliency testing, failure mode analysis, and non-functional requirements validation.
