Responsibilities
- Test features in Ovation and addon applications with other team members.
- Perform smoke, first-pass, regression, functional, system, compatibility, and performance testing.
- Create test plans, test cases, and test scenarios for software systems.
- Develop and execute automated and manual tests across multiple platforms.
- Recreate reported issues, investigate findings, and report results.
- Maintain testing skills across the engineering organization and suggest improvements to testing procedures.
- Own a major software product component across multiple platforms.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of experience in product testing of DCS and supported software, including OPC, Data Analytics, Historian, advanced algorithms, cybersecurity solutions, and third-party protocols.
- Experience installing Windows operating systems, drivers, and Microsoft patches.
- Experience with field instruments, discrete and continuous controllers, HMI, and bus technologies.
- Preferred BE/BTech engineering degree in Instrumentation, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, or Power Engineering.
- Basic understanding of networking protocols and concepts, virtualization, VMware, and power plant control systems.
- Preferred ISTQB Foundation-level certification.
- Preferred experience with C, C++, C#, .NET, VMware, Crystal Reports, and communication protocols.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
