Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain reliable and scalable software applications and CAD tools.
- Develop automation that improves engineering productivity and reduces manual processes.
- Debug complex software, system, and performance issues.
- Design and maintain APIs, databases, command-line tools, and supporting infrastructure.
- Build automated unit, integration, and regression tests.
- Use Git and established CI/CD workflows for software development and delivery.
- Monitor software reliability and improve performance, scalability, and robustness.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, product teams, foundries, EDA partners, and other stakeholders.
- Evaluate technologies, improve software architecture and development processes, and maintain technical documentation.
Requirements
- Strong programming skills in one or more of Python, TCL, or C/C++.
- Understanding of data structures, algorithms, object-oriented programming, and software design principles.
- Experience with Linux/Unix, Git, debugging, scripting, and automation.
- Understanding of databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQLite.
- Familiarity with REST APIs, distributed systems, CI/CD, and containers.
- Knowledge of software testing methodologies and software development lifecycle practices.
- Preferred: working knowledge of agentic workflow models from OpenAI and Claude.
- Preferred: experience with RTL synthesis tools, process technology design rules, STA, power estimation and analysis, SoC design, CAD engineering, physical design, and signoff.
