Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain software applications and CAD tools.
- Develop automation to improve engineering productivity and reduce manual processes.
- Write clean, maintainable, efficient, and documented code.
- Debug complex software, system, and performance issues.
- Design and maintain APIs, databases, command-line tools, and supporting infrastructure.
- Build automated unit, integration, and regression tests.
- Use Git and established CI/CD workflows for software delivery.
- Monitor reliability and improve software performance, scalability, and robustness.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, product teams, foundries, EDA providers, and ecosystem partners.
- Evaluate technologies and improve software architecture and development processes.
- Create and maintain technical documentation.
Requirements
- Strong programming skills in one or more of Python, TCL, C, or C++.
- Understanding of data structures, algorithms, object-oriented programming, and software design principles.
- Experience with Linux/Unix, Git, debugging, scripting, and automation.
- Understanding of PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQLite databases.
- Familiarity with REST APIs, distributed systems, CI/CD, and containers.
- Knowledge of software testing methodologies and software development lifecycle practices.
- Preferred: working knowledge of agentic workflow models from OpenAI and Claude.
- Preferred: experience with RTL synthesis tools, process technology design rules, STA, power estimation, and power analysis methodologies.
- Preferred: prior experience in SoC design, CAD engineering, physical design, or signoff.
